Meet ThinkGeek customer #e324687fa - otherwise known as "Dave." He's a lone geek in an office full of lawyers. He has many gigabytes of music files, video files, and documents that he would like to carry around with him between work and home - files that are his and he'd be damned if he lets any of the other oxygen thieves at work anywhere close to his data.

Poor Dave likes having his data available, but sometimes he has to leave his desk. Coffee, lunch-room, bathroom, LAN closet, secret room where he has a Playstation3 hidden away... point is, he can't watch that little portable hard-drive all day long. Ideally, he should be feel confident that those idiots down the hall can't just rip out his blessed zeroes and ones by just grabbing the drive, copying its contents, and putting it right back.
