Born and raised in a sprawling metropolis, I nevertheless found time to fiddle a bit with my first computer. Mainly I used it to write stories so I could grow up and be a famous author. Naturally, I ended up being a programmer (although I did manage to graduate with an English degree).

I ran through several false starts before coming to the One True Language, including a stint on TeamB for C++. I also did a lot of work which I later found out had been "data warehousing" ... who knew? Finally, after many years as a freelance consultant, I landed here, where I am happily employed as the chief code monkey.

When not programming, I enjoy programming, listening to various forms of music, watching a hell of a lot of movies, playing a game or two every now and again, and also sometimes programming. Additionally I am at least partially responsible for two ferrets, a ball python, and two small humans. I am also occasionally known as the guy who eschews shoes.
