>> Welcome to CNET Top Five, where each time we meet we count down another hot CNET list. I'm Tom Merritt. One of the most fascinating pastimes on the web is looking at what people are searching for. It really is. It's kind of voyeuristic. You troll through the old CNET logs, and it gives a unique perspective into what's one your collective minds. So let's get to it, and count down the top five most popular CNET search terms. [ Sound effect ] At number five, Bluetooth headset. No surprise here, really. California and Washington recently joined other states in requiring hands-free headsets while driving. Please, still drive carefully, okay? [ Sound effect ] Coming in at number four, iPhone. I imagine the scenario goes something like this. You hear everyone blathering about the iPhone. You check the stores; see a long line. Wonder if it's really worth it? Search for a review on CNET. [ Sound effect ] Up to number three, GPS. There are a lot of lost people out there. And I guess it's not a bad idea to start trying to find yourself by searching for GPS. [ Sound effect ] Sliding in at number two, Bluetooth. Probably just a side effect of the search for Bluetooth headsets. I mean you add those searches in with the folks looking for the Danish king, Harald Bluetooth, and it has to boost the term up a little bit, right? [ Sound effect ] Before we get to number one, let's look at the rest of the top ten search terms. You all are really into phones. You probably even want the external hard drive for your phone. [ Sound effect ] All right, let's get to our number one, the most popular search term at CNET. At number one, it's iPod. Yes, iPod. There are so many rumors now about a new iPod coming out that I imagine a lot of you are searching for clues. Or it could be folks think they get iPods cheap, now that the iPhone craze is back in full swing. Whatever the reason, it's iPod, not iPhone, that's most on your minds right now. [ Sound effect ] Well, that's it for this edition of CNET Top Five. If you want to participate in making this list happen, go search for something at CNET.com. I'm Tom Merritt. See you next time. ^M00:02:02 [ Music ]
